Applications are invited for two temporary lectureships of 4 years’ duration, which have become available as a result of several major grant awards to members of the Astronomy group. For both positions, applicants are expected to lead independent research programmes and to have a strong track record in publishing internationally leading research. The two temporary lectureships are each expected to contribute to our undergraduate astrophysics teaching programme at a half-load level of approximately 60 contact hours per year.  

Applications are welcomed from theoretical and experimental astrophysicists in the broad areas of exoplanetary and stellar science, star and galaxy formation, and observational cosmology.  Applications should include a covering letter including a one-page summary of research achievements to date, a one-page statement of the applicant’s vision for his/her research at St Andrews and a full curriculum vitae including a list of refereed publications together with contact details for three referees.
