Research Software Engineer - AD2158SB

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Computational Algebra (CIRCA) is seeking a Research Software Engineer with experience of mathematical software development to join the team working on the EU funded OpenDreamKit project as soon as possible. The post will continue to the end of the project in August 2019.

You will work primarily in connection with Work Packages 4 (“User Interfaces”), 5 (“High Performance Mathematical Computing”) and 6 (“Data/Knowledge/Software-Bases”) developing, assessing and reporting on novel mathematical software. You will have completed a PhD in computational mathematics. Experience of developing for the GAP system, of Python and of open source collaborative development are essential.
