Lecturer (Education Focused) in Marine Biology - AC2163HM

We wish to appoint an Lecturer (Education Focused) in Marine Biology within the School of Biology. 

This appointment is an opportunity for a person interested in teaching Biology at tertiary level to be employed to make a major input to our teaching programmes, both in teaching and in the development and co-ordination of the programmes.

Lecturers (Education Focused) have an increasingly important role within the University, and there is a developed career structure. The post holder will be expected to contribute significantly to a range of teaching within the School, including lecture-based modules and small-group teaching from first year to masters level. 

Candidates should hold a PhD in Marine Biology or a closely allied discipline and have proven abilities in teaching Marine Biology. The candidate must also have successful experience of developing teaching materials, designing teaching programmes and must be able to demonstrate commitment to teaching, promoting knowledge exchange and development of the student learning experience.
