Research Fellow - AR1652HM

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral Research Fellow position based within the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core Facility.  The position is for available for 18 months and may be subject to extension.

The MS and proteomics facility, based in the Biomedical Sciences Research Complex, is core to the bio-molecular research efforts in the University and collaborates with a number of external research groups both nationally and internationally.  Analysis requirements are diverse and span all areas of biological mass spectrometry including identification proteomics, post-translational modification analysis, DNA & RNA analysis, intact protein measurements, and quantitative proteomics – both labelled and label free.  The post holder will be required to work within the core facility team to liaise with both local and international researchers provide support, expert advice, analysis, and data interpretation for research level activities.  Ideally, the applicant will have research level experience of proteomics with a background in biochemistry or a related discipline, and an interest in computing and bioinfomatics.

The post is 1.0 FTE however there is flexibility and reduced hours could be negotiated.
