The School of Medicine wishes to recruit a Lecturer (Education Focused) to work closely with our undergraduate medical students and our multi-disciplinary teaching staff. The roles will be to provide clinical medicine teaching as well as some clinically orientated physiology, anatomy and basic sciences as part of an integrated medical curriculum.
The successful candidates will:
• Have a primary medical or allied health professional qualification.
• Have experience of teaching medical or closely related subjects at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
The role holder will be a core member of the teaching team in the School, and will have additional responsibilities for liaising with our GP and Clinical Placement lead to help manage and improve student clinical learning experience, as well as being able to contribute to the evolution of other parts of the curriculum.
Ideally the job requires full time commitment, particularly during semester times, however the successful candidate will have the opportunity to negotiate a reduction in sessions in order to allow the maintenance of a professional registration if required. We are keen on flexibility, and depending on the expertise of the appointee, further sessions may be available with local NHS providers.
