Qualitative Research Assistant - AR2030SB

The Centre for Housing Research is seeking to appoint a Qualitative Research Assistant to take forward new research projects within our areas of expertise.  We are looking for a suitably-qualified qualitative researcher with interests and expertise in housing and home.  Candidates should have at least a Masters level qualification in Human Geography (or cognate discipline) with preference given to those who have/or are close to completing a PhD.  Experience of project design and management, qualitative methods and analysis, and policy-relevant research are essential.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre’s Directors Dr Kim McKee and Louise Reid.

Established in 1990, CHR is one of the leading housing research centres in the UK.  Our programme of research is policy-relevant, theoretically informed and centres on inter-disciplinary understandings of housing and home.  The Centre has a well-established track record of research on housing inequalities, housing and sustainability, and third-sector and localist approaches to social housing. Collaborative working and knowledge exchange are central to our activities.  CHR is based within the School of Geography & Sustainable Development, which is located on North Street in the centre of St Andrews.
