An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual interested in developing his/her fundraising career in a thriving Development Office.

In order to strengthen our fundraising team we are seeking a well-organised and highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Fundraising team.

The successful candidate will be the first port of call, in St Andrews, for the University’s fundraisers based in the US and England and for enquiries about legacy giving. We therefore seek an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, including the confidence and flexibility to communicate with a broad range of people.  We are looking for an individual who understands the importance of philanthropy to higher education.

Strong administrative and IT skills are vital, along with careful attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential material. Excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills are key requirements of the post along with a flexible approach and the ability to work in a team environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and with a minimum of supervision. Familiarity with databases, social media and web content management systems would be desirable.

This post is fixed term for 2 years and will start as soon as possible.
