Details
The Special Collections Division has a vacancy for a part-time reprographic technician, working primarily with the Division’s sophisticated ‘Bookeye’ scanners.  Reporting to the Special Collections Reader Services Manager, this post forms part of the small team responsible for undertaking most of the department’s reprographic work, which includes scanning for both preservation and commercial purposes, as well as fulfilling the day-to-day reprographic needs of our users.

The work involves scanning, digital manipulation of scanned images, file format transfer, and output by various means including print, email, ftp and CD.  Some photography may be required.

You will be educated at least to Higher level, will be highly computer literate, will have an understanding of digital image technology, will be capable of working accurately to tight deadlines, and will be a good communicator.

The hours of work will be as follows:
 
Post 1 – 18.25 hours per week, starting as soon as possible, fixed until 14 January 2016.
Post 2 – 10.25 hours per week, starting on 1 September 2015, fixed for 10 months.
