Child and Adolescent Health Research Unit (CAHRU),
Salary: £31,656 - £37,768 per annum,

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) International Coordinating Centre, with particular responsibility for the coordination and delivery of high quality administrative and organisational support for the HBSC International Research Network. HBSC is a World Health Organisation Collaborative Cross-National Study of adolescent health established in 1983 that now includes 44 countries and regions across Europe and North America, as well as linked projects around the world.
This is a hugely varied role which requires excellent project management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, balance priorities, deal with complex issues and succeed through cooperation with others. The role involves liaising with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, therefore excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
You will provide support to the HBSC International Coordinator and Deputy International Coordinator, particularly in relation to provision and management of information, strategic planning, coordination of network activities and achievement of study deliverables. The ability to shape and define the scope and outcomes of projects/activities at an early stage will be critical to the success of the role. Previous experience of working with complex projects that involve significant organisational processes is essential.
You will be a pro-active team player who also enjoys working independently, taking initiative and knows how and when to delegate. You should have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues and suggest possible solutions. This provides an excellent career development opportunity for someone with previous experience of managing or facilitating large networks, ideally in an international context.
