Student Services provides a comprehensive welfare and support service for students, ranging from immigration advice to financial assistance and specialised counselling and support. It also organizes the front door information service to the students, named the ASC (The Advice and Support Centre), provides pastoral support in halls of residence through 9 teams of Wardens and takes responsibility for all student discipline.   

Working from two bases, the ASC and Eden Court, the unit is now looking for someone to join their central administrative team, assisting the managers and maintaining the infrastructure which is crucial to carrying out the work of the unit.  

As a PA with specialist knowledge in IT Systems and Statistics you will require initiative, attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to deal with staff and external stakeholders in a cheerful and professional manner.  You will need to be a proven team player but it is essential that you are able to work independently, organising your daily routine.  Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook is essential. An ability to remain calm under pressure and to prioritise work is vital. You will be willing and able to give assistance to colleagues across the University facilitating collaborative working, and so previous knowledge of the HE environment would be an advantage.   

Working hours are full time, 36.25 hours per week.
