We are looking to appoint a highly motivated time served Gardener to join our Estates team.  The duties of the post will include providing skilled workmanship in all aspects of Grounds and Garden maintenance.  You should be qualified to a minimum of SVQ level 2 and have at least three years post qualification.

You should have a sound knowledge of horticultural principles and gardening operations and experience in the operation of vehicles, horticultural machinery and equipment is essential.

You should have excellent communication skills and a keen and helpful manner. The ability to cope well when under pressure and the ability to demonstrate a flexible approach is essential. You should be able to work effectively both independently and as a team member.

Excellent terms and conditions apply – 36.25 hours/week (normal working hours generally apply but specific timings will vary between work colleagues to suit any operational needs); additional payments for out of normal work hours rota; 35 days annual leave including statutory days in the first instance, rising to 39 days including statutory days after 6 years’ continuous service; contributory pension scheme.

You should have a full valid driving licence and you must be flexible in your working hours and be able to provide cover as required.
