MUSA (the Museum of the University of St Andrews) is looking for a bright and capable individual to join the Front of House team as a Senior Visitor Services Facilitator.

MUSA consists of four exhibition galleries on the ground floor, a first-floor education space, a gift shop and a Viewing Terrace. An active programme of education and lifelong learning events runs in the Learning Loft in MUSA.

Three MUSA Senior Visitor Services Facilitators – of which this post is one – will provide a high standard of visitor and reception services for the museum. Working mainly in the Reception and gallery areas within MUSA, the Senior Visitor Services Facilitators will ensure visitors to the museum receive a warm, friendly welcome and the information required to make their visit as informative and engaging as possible. The post holder will be a key holder for the museum and as such, will hold a level of responsibility regarding opening up and closing the museum. They will undertake Front of House tasks including visitor surveying, retail duties, gallery checks, marketing and advertising, answering enquiries, taking bookings for learning and access events and supporting junior Front of House staff and volunteers.  They will also undertake general administrative work for the Museum Collections Unit.

The post will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.

This is a part-time, salaried post, equivalent to 0.68FTE (24.65 hours per week). Owing to the nature of the post, the working pattern is seasonal and flexible.
