This position is for a temporary, part-time Teaching Fellow in Museum and Gallery Studies to replace a permanent member of staff who is running a four-year, EU-funded Horizon 2020 project. The post will be based in the School of Art History.
St Andrews is the leading centre for Museum and Gallery Studies in Scotland and provides both full-time and part-time postgraduate programmes. Students come from all over the world and from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including the sciences as well as the arts and humanities. We provide museological and vocational training for students wishing to pursue a career in museums, whether as a subject specialist curator, or in learning and access, exhibitions, marketing, management or any of the many possible career paths available in the sector.
You should have professional museum/gallery experience. You should be educated to at least Masters level; a postgraduate Museum Studies qualification and experience of teaching at university level would be advantageous.
This is a fixed term part-time role (2.5 days per week).
