This post is available from September 2015. We are seeking to maintain and enhance the academic excellence of the School of Classics by the appointment of an outstanding scholar in Latin literature at Lecturer level. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduates and postgraduates for the School's degree programmes in Latin and Classical Studies and to conduct research that meets the highest standards of excellence. She or he will also be expected to make a significant contribution to enhancing the School’s research environment. We are open to appointing in any area of Latin literature, including the Latin literature of the Roman Republic, Latin philosophy, the Latin literature of the imperial period or late antiquity, or the post-classical reception of Latin literature. The position is full-time and subject to the completion of a probationary period.
