Details
We wish to appoint a Lecturer within the School of Classics. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation in Greek literature and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching within the broad field of ancient Greek literature. The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests, to be active in producing internationally excellent research publications that strengthen or complement the School’s existing expertise, and to be capable of outstanding teaching to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds. Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. We are open to appointing in any area of Greek literature (including Greek philosophy, Greek historiography, and the post-classical reception of Greek literature). Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant-seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
