The School of Economics & Finance is part of Scotland's first university, with an established reputation as one of Europe's leading and most distinctive centres for teaching and research.

The School is research-led, with a focus on outstanding research and teaching in all areas of Economics and Finance, having been ranked joint tenth at the 2014 Research Excellence framework. We are now seeking to fill up to two senior positions (Chair or Readership) in Economics to further strengthen our position as a leading research School in Economics.

The post-holders will play an important role in further strengthening the School's current research activities in all fields of Economics. The posts are “general field” posts although applications from candidates in the areas of Empirical Economics, Applied Microeconomics and Macroeconomics are especially welcome.
