The University of St Andrews is looking to appoint an experienced Web Content Editor and Trainer to join the digital communications team. The team is currently undertaking an exciting programme of digital change, and the post holder will play an important role in shaping the University’s digital future.

The role will involve creating engaging web content (text, images, audio and video) to ensure that we present the best first impression of the University. The post holder will also be responsible for developing and running training programmes for colleagues involved in updating the website.

The ideal candidate should have excellent writing skills, with particular expertise in writing for the web, and experience working with and implementing workflow processes. The candidate should be able to convey complex information in a clear, concise and engaging manner, for a variety of audiences.

An understanding of accessibility requirements, search engine optimisation and experience working with social media in a professional context would all be desirable. The candidate should also have a familiarity with working with media formats for the web (images, video and audio). Experience in running training courses would also be advantageous.

This post is fixed term for 3 years starting as soon as possible.
