CRISPR is a recently discovered prokaryotic adaptive immune system, posing many fundamental research questions and with exciting applications in genome engineering. We wish to recruit a Grade 6 postdoctoral research fellow to study the structure, function and mechanism of the type IIIA (CSM) CRISPR interference complex. The successful applicant must have demonstrated laboratory expertise (Industrial or Academic) in molecular biology, protein characterisation and biochemical assays. Experience working with protein complexes and RNA would be beneficial.
The post, which is available immediately, will be for 36 months and is funded by the BBSRC. Candidates must hold a PhD or be about to submit one.
