Salary: £25,769 - £30,738 per annum,

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated, qualified and experienced individuals to manage the delivery of a comprehensive Sport Development Programme for students, staff and the local community in order to help maximise the use of sports resources at the University.
In this role, you will have the responsibility of managing a team of Customer Service Advisors, Sports Assistants and casual operational staff dealing with any disciplinary, grievance and performance issues that may arise. You will provide excellent customer service in all areas, ensuring the environment is comfortable and appropriate for the sport/activity. You will liaise with the Assistant Director to ensure events are organised and run in a safe and appropriate manner. You will actively promote the services and facilities through liaison with our Marketing Manager, through social media, the website and other mediums and develop new initiatives to generate income and increase sporting experience for our users. You will also have responsibility for the administration, management and development of numerous sports competitions currently run by Saints Sport.
You will hold a Degree (or equivalent) and a REPS accredited level 2 fitness qualification (or equivalent). Operational experience working in a sporting environment and supervising/leading a team is essential. You must have a good knowledge of sport and experience of purchasing equipment and materials, sales and till operation including end of shift reconciliation. You will have the ability to use computers and various basic programmes and working knowledge of health and safety in a sports context including manual handling. You will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to develop good working relationships with people at all levels, and good organisational and time management skills. It will be necessary for the post holder to work on a rotating shift pattern including weekends, evenings and public holidays as required. A flexible approach to working hours is required, particularly during University term time.
