Details
We are seeking a highly motivated research technician to join the Scottish Oceans Institute to provide support for the aquarium. You will be required to maintain the health and welfare of all animals in the aquarium, maintain critical equipment for supplying seawater, organize and maintain local and regulatory records that support the running of the facility, and be responsible for planning and meeting user needs.

The successful candidate will have HNC, NVQ3 or equivalent and experience working in a marine facility support environment or a public aquarium would be a distinct advantage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate willingness and the ability to become trained and certified as a NACWO (Named Animal Care and Welfare Officer) certification within a defined period of time.
