The School of Medicine is looking for a part-time research assistant (0.4 fte). This opportunity has arisen in response to the recent award from the Scottish Medical Education Consortium to the Medical School, University of St Andrews in collaboration with the Medical Schools at the Universities of Aberdeen and Dundee. The funding relates to a project investigating the relationship between stress, burnout and lifestyle choices such as habitual diet and physical activity in medical students. This appointment will help the School achieve its objective by furthering it’s standing as a centre for excellent medical education research. The ideal candidate will be someone with a background in psychology or health care education. Also required is some experience with data collection such as interviewing and qualitative analysis methods. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, organisation skills and the ability to work as part of a team. 

The post is available for 6 months, starting as soon as possible.  The hours of work will be 40% fte (14.5 hours per week) to be arranged with the School.
