Research Fellow in Directed Evolution and Assay Design - AR1689KC

Salary: £31,342 - £33,242 per annum,
Start: 2 November 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter,

We seek
to appoint a highly talented and motivated postdoctoral research associate with
a proven track-record of excellence in enzymology, biotransformation, assay
design and the directed evolution of enzymes.
The
successful candidate will join the multidisciplinary research group of Dr
Rebecca Goss at the University of St Andrews, working in close collaboration
with Ingenza.
You will
have an excellent track record and have completed a PhD with a major component
being enzymology, biotransformations and the directed evolution of enzymes with
your results published or pending publication in leading international
scientific journals. You will have an
excellent and an advanced practical knowledge of molecular microbiology
methodologies and excellent analytical skills. You will be innovative and quick
to master new skills and techniques. You will be a good team worker with
excellent organizational skills, communication skills and leadership potential.
Excellent writing skills and experience in the preparation of manuscripts or
patents, including supporting information, for publication would be an
