Title
Receptionist - CG1011SB
Vacancy Description
Student Services, Salary: £15,356 - £17,528 per annum, Start: As soon as possible
Details
Student Services provides a comprehensive welfare and support service for students, ranging from immigration advice to financial assistance and specialised counselling and support.

We are looking for a frontline Receptionist with a positive and friendly demeanor.  You will be the first point of contact for all students and staff visitors to the Eden Court Building, positioned within a clerical back up of a further three staff members.  As first contact, visitors may be in a distressed, agitated or confused state of mind but you will have the support of a team of professional staff within the building to refer students on to. You will also assist professional staff with general administrative duties.

As a Receptionist you will require initiative, attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to deal with students, staff and external stakeholders in a cheerful and professional manner.  You will need to be a proven team player but it is essential that you are able to work independently, organising your daily routine.  Experience of working in a busy customer facing environment is essential as is working with students in a Higher Education setting.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook is essential. An ability to remain calm under pressure and to prioritise work is vital. You will be willing and able to give assistance to all colleagues in Student Services, facilitating their diaries, and so previous knowledge of the various branches of working with students in an HE environment would be an advantage.

Working hours are full time, 36.25 hours per week.
