An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Asbestos Manager within the Estates Office of the University.  You should have attained Management of asbestos in buildings (BOHS P405) and have extensive knowledge and experience working within a similar role and within the asbestos industry.  

You should have HND/HNC in a building related discipline and process good technical, management, organisational, people management and client facing skills.  You should have excellent knowledge of Health and Safety issues relating to asbestos, ideally with NEBOSH/asbestos certification.  

You should be an excellent communicator, verbal and written, have excellent interpersonal, analytical and IT skills.  You should have the enthusiasm to deliver a continuously improving safety culture and you will be a strong and influential communicator at all levels.  

This post will be for 25 hours per week, fixed for 3 years and hours of work to be agreed, however flexibility to work out with normal working hours may be required to meet the changing demands of the role.
