This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive person to join the International Coordinating Centre (ICC) of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study. HBSC is a World Health Organisation Collaborative cross-national study of adolescent health in 44 countries and regions across Europe and North America. Joining a small but busy team, you will provide a full range of organizational and administrative support for Centre.  The post is part-time (25 hours a week) covering 4-5 days a week, with fixed hours to be agreed.     

You should have administrative experience ideally within an academic/research environment and be well-organised, highly motivated and a strong team player. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are also essential. Given the international nature of the job, being flexible, determined, discreet, and diplomatic is critical.

You will be based in the Child and Adolescent Health Research Unit (CAHRU) within the School of Medicine and take a lead role in managing internal communications for the International HBSC Research Network as well as providing support to other staff within the ICC. The post will include tasks such as managing the HBSC internal website, developing and maintaining internal communications systems, dealing with internal enquiries, organising meetings and events, issuing invoices and assisting with budgets, maintaining accurate records, writing reports and assisting with production of key publications.
