Details
We are seeking an individual to provide technical support to our new, state-of-the-art isotope and clean laboratories. These host one Neptune and two Nu Instruments MC-ICP-MS, a 193-nm excimer laser, two Mat-253 mass spectrometers, and two class 100 clean rooms to process pg-level samples.
The role of the successful applicant will include:  

(i) help set up new techniques and maintain the instruments ensuring that the lab is generating high quality data across a range of applications;
(ii) help training of laboratory users including post-doctoral research fellows and graduate students; (iii) help maintain the instruments and deal with break-downs when and if they arise;
(iv) forge and maintain collaborations with academic and industrial partners who require analyses from the laboratory facility; and
(v) optimise the lab and balance research project data production with quick turn-around commercial contract work.
