Academic Registry is a key central professional service unit of the University supporting Schools, students, Senior Management and external stake-holders through admissions, the administration of student records, curriculum and timetabling records and the provision of associated reporting. Members of staff are required to work flexibly and provide support across the Unit according to the priorities of the academic cycle.
We are seeking a professional, highly motivated and organised individual, with a commitment to excellent customer service, to join us as a part-time Administrator in the Student Journey team (0.5FTE). You will have experience of working in a busy, customer-focused environment, and be committed to enhancing the Unit’s service to applicants, students, staff and external contacts. You will be able to demonstrate good numeracy and accuracy skills, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a flexible approach, enabling you to provide a tailored service to all stakeholders.
The main function of the Registry Student Journey Team is to provide an agile, professional and coordinated service to support prospective and current students, parents, schools and other external bodies, as well as staff in Schools and other Units, including primarily: all aspects of the application process, maintenance of the student record from application to graduation and providing professional support to the Pro Deans, Schools and to prospective and current students. In doing this, all members of Registry are encouraged to think creatively, to seek solutions for better efficiency and to improve the management of the customer services they deliver. You will liaise with colleagues within other teams within Registry and in IT mainly on undergraduate processes, and work with them to develop systems and streamline processes to improve these services.
This position is fixed term until 28 September 2017.
