The University seeks to appoint a Computing Officer to work with staff within the Schools of Economics & Finance and the School of International Relations to provide support for teaching and research.

The purpose of the role is to provide guidance and provision for effective teaching and academic research support.  Provide support for all teaching related systems, including School timetabling, learning management systems and School web sites.

Experience of academic research projects, handling large data sets and familiarity with such software packages such as: MatLab; Stata; Mathematica; LaTEX; Eviews; Datastream; ztree, ArcGIS, and Knitro would be desirable.

This is a varied role and whilst technical expertise is essential you will possess customer services skills and skills in communicating technical matters to non-technical colleagues. You should be skilled at and comfortable with communicating at all organisational levels.
