We are seeking to appoint highly motivated, qualified and experienced individual to assist in the delivery of a comprehensive Sport Development Programme for students, staff and the local community in order to help maximise the use of sports resources at the University.   

With a focus on excellent customer service, your role will be to organise the reception area including filing, administration, security and financial control associated with reception operations.  You will operate a computerised management system (currently Xn leisure) to administer bookings and ensure membership records are current, accurate and active.  You will be responsible for handling customer enquiries in person, via email/website and by telephone and assist user with our self-service kiosks. You will supervise bank/casual Customer Service Advisors.  You will actively promote our services and facilities by explaining and selling memberships to potential new/returning customers and by dealing with any customer feedback directly.  You will also have a responsibility to inform customers of impending membership renewals and process payment for this.  

You must possess a good general standard of education at Standard/Higher Grade or equivalent. 
Previous experience with computers and computerised management systems is essential along with experience of online booking/membership systems.  You must have previous experience in a service related industry and be able to demonstrate a high level of competence with sales, till operation and end of shift till reconciliation.    You will have excellent customer care skills and have experience of working in a team environment with an understanding of the needs of Sports Centre customers and/or higher education.

You must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to develop good working relationships with people at all levels, and good organisational and time management skills.  It will be necessary for the post holder to work on a rotating shift pattern including weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.   A flexible approach to working hours is required, particularly during University term time.
