The Byre Theatre is an arts venue with a theatrical history spanning more than eighty years. Following a recent management agreement between the University of St Andrews, Fife Council and Creative Scotland, we are seeking a Press & PR intern to assist the Marketing & Sales department.
This exciting opportunity is for a paid internship, which will be an invaluable learning experience for anyone wishing to pursue a career in Arts Administration, Journalism, Media, PR and Marketing. Progressive training will be provided and structured over the period of the internship and assessed.
As a leading artistic and cultural venue, the Byre Theatre expects very high standards from employees. This is particularly important when distributing and advertising information across media channels and in working with journalists, which are major aspects of the Press and PR intern role. Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work are both essential traits that we are looking for.
This is a fixed term post until 15 August 2017 working 12 hours per week. This post may be extended to 2 years and will be reviewed in August 2017.
