Details
We are seeking to appoint a well-motivated, qualified and experienced individual, with knowledge of the tertiary sector, to set up and co-ordinate the Saints Sport Volunteering and Leadership Academy. This post is on a fixed term contract until the 31 August 2017.
 
Responsibilities will involve tracking, monitoring and co-ordinating all of the Saints volunteers and all of the voluntary work carried out by Saints Sports clubs. You will be tasked with developing a CPD programme for individual volunteers, as well as improving and expanding the current Saints Excellence and Saints Leaders programmes.

A knowledge of the local area would be beneficial, as well as an understanding of key local partners including Active Fife and Active Schools, as you will have to form strong partnerships with both organisations to embed our volunteers in the local community and set up exciting new volunteering opportunities.

You will be a graduate in a sport/leisure related subject and have knowledge of a broad range of sports and their requirements.  You should also have experience of working with volunteers in groups, on a one to one basis and of volunteer development.

You must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to develop good working relationships with people at all levels, and good organisational and time management skills.  A flexible approach to working hours is required, particularly during University term time.
