Applications are invited for a dynamic and motivated Space Planner with interior design skills to join our established Development Team at the University of St Andrews, the Top Ranked University in the United Kingdom as stated in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, and the Guardian University Guide 2023. This is a standard role and is well suited to a forward-thinking individual who is seeking to progress their career in a busy and innovative workplace. 

 

The Estates Development Team play a strategic role in leading the development of all Capital Projects from inception through to completion and operations, preserving and enhancing the campus environment to support the University as it reinforces its position as a world-renowned centre of learning, research, and sustainable development. 

 

The Space Planning role will sit within the Space Management function which has direct accountability for providing professional guidance to the University on the most effective and efficient way to use its space, responding to the fluidity and diversity of demands on its prime asset. We provide specialist technical advice and guidance on space matters, space standards, design & best practice in the workplace and teaching environment, and influence the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and fittings for our interior environments across the campus.
