School of Modern Languages, Department of Russian, Salary: £34,304 per annum, pro rata, Hours of work: 18 per week, Start: 26 January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter

The School of Modern Languages seeks suitably qualified applicants with experience in artistic research and/or community engagement for the position of a part-time (0.5 FTE) Research Fellow (Creative Industries in the UK and Ukraine) to support the AHRC-funded project “Donbas in Focus: Visions of Industry in the Ukrainian East.”

The successful applicant will support the project by: (i) co-organizing three community workshops at post-industrial heritage sites in Wales, England, and Scotland; (ii) curating and installing an exhibition of photography and artwork on post-industrial themes at various locations across the UK and Ukraine; (iii) co-editing and contributing a chapter to the critical-creative volume emerging from the industrial archives workshop series; (iv) supporting the PI with project website and social media management. Informal enquiries can be directed to Dr Victoria Donovan, Senior Lecturer in Russian – email vsd2@st-andrews.ac.uk
