Environmental, Health and Safety Services (EHSS), Salary: £27,924 - £33,309 per annum, pro rata*, Hours of work: 21.75 per week, Start: As soon as possible

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed, self-motivated Occupational Health Technician to contribute to the provision of a comprehensive and proactive Occupational Health Service to the staff at The University of St Andrews. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential as full training can be provided. However, you must be able to demonstrate an interest in health and wellbeing and an ability to motivate others.

 

*For candidates who are not already qualified, appointment will be made at grade 4 (salary £23,487-£27,116 per annum, pro rata) with the job description to be altered accordingly and progression to grade 5 upon successful completion of training and becoming fully qualified).

 

The hours of work are 21.75 per week.

 

This additional role will focus on expanding the current provision of health surveillance, working as a key member of the Occupational Health team, responsible for providing a high-quality service, focussing on pro-active clinical provision.

 

You will be required to plan and undertake the full remit of health surveillance activities, interpreting data and present the results in report form as required.

 

To deliver the above you will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently supported by the Occupational Health Manager.
