IT Services Salary: £41,526 - £51,034 per annum Start date: As soon as possible

It is an exciting time for the University, IT Services, and Libraries and Museums with digital enhancement playing a major part in the shaping of University’s future.  You will play a key role in embracing new technology, managing change, and delivering the University’s digital strategy in collaboration with Libraries and Museums.

In supporting busy Libraries and Museums serving the needs of a major research-led university with a strong international reputation for excellence, you will be a highly-motivated self-starter able to cope under pressure who has a high level of interpersonal and customer service skills and understanding of best practice IT processes.   As the Application Services Manager for the Libraries and Museums, you will be responsible for all aspects of enterprise application service provision, including Service Management, Incident and Problem Management, Continuous Service Improvement, and Change Management.

You will hold a relevant IT related degree or PG qualification (or extensive equivalent experience) and will have the ability to support, develop, and enhance a significant number of systems including software to manage the Library and Museum’s modern and heritage collections, student reading lists, self-service technology, and e-resource access management.  You will provide vital strategic digital guidance to all the teams in the Library and Museums and manage a significant number of relationships with third-party suppliers.

You will be located in and work closely with colleagues in the University’s IT Services, leading and collaborating with them on the delivery of critical digital enhancement projects.  Increasingly, Library/Museum systems are being integrated with other University systems; you must maintain a broad overview of the Library/Museum systems architecture and facilitate integrations with other University systems.  Playing a key role in the delivery of the University’s digital strategy, you will be able to provide advice and recommendations on enterprise application investment needs and development.

You may be expected to line manage a deputy in due course.   Informal enquiries can be directed to: Andrew Wilson, Enterprise Applications Team Leader, aw282@st-andrews.ac.uk

Applications are particularly welcome from women, people from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community, and other protected characteristics who are under-represented in professional posts at the University.

The University is committed to equality for all, demonstrated through accreditation (Athena SWAN; Carer Positive; Stonewall, LGBT and Race Charters), as listed on: http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/hr/edi/diversityawards/.

This post will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge, a state-of-the-art working environment for professional services units.
