The University of St Andrews are looking to expand our current multidisciplinary team consisting of an Occupational Health Manager, an Occupational Health Technician & Wellbeing Adviser, a Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist, and a dedicated Administrator, with an additional Grade 6 Occupational Health Adviser.

The purpose of the expansion is to help us deliver our excellent standard of care and to further develop the service. We are looking to commence working our way toward achieving SEQOHS Accreditation.

The successful candidate would be a Registered General Nurse with the Occupational Health Degree and on Part Three of the Specialist Register. We are looking for someone with experience working within an Occupational Health setting. Experience in complex case management and the ability to play a key role within the team in supporting our staff. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and tools to develop a positive, balanced approach to improving and maintaining staff health and wellbeing.

We are looking for a dynamic person, who is flexible and motivated in helping us achieve our aim of excellence, in an inclusive environment. The successful candidate would be able to build relationships based on trust and confidentiality, work in an environment of cooperation and collaboration, as well as having excellent communication, both written and verbal. You would be proficient in report writing, providing advice to the relevant Managers and staff. We would expect you to embrace technology and support systems for the Department.

You should have experience working in a challenging and demanding environment, be self-motivated and able to work autonomously. Have a focus on improving attendance, promoting mental, physical, and emotional health and wellbeing. The successful candidate would also be expected to use the appropriate clinical assessment tools to deliver meaningful health interventions.
