InGame Project - Research and Development Fellow - AR2196AS
School of Management

School of Management

Researchers at the School of Management at the University of St Andrews, together with partners in Abertay University and the University of Dundee, have been awarded a £5.1M research grant from the AHRC Creative Economy Programme. The 5-year 'InGAME' research initiative is a creative R&D partnership focusing on the computer games industry in Dundee. The InGame project seeks to appoint eight Research and Development Fellows across the academic institutions involved.  The work of researchers at St Andrews will focus on challenges in the sector around working practices, barriers to growth and the commercialisation of creative content.

The University of St Andrews wishes to appoint a Research & Development Fellow for a four year post.  We are particularly keen to attract applicants with a strong track record of research and/or significant professional experience in Entrepreneurship and Technological Exploitation. The successful applicant will have (or be near to completing) a PhD in a relevant academic discipline such as Economics, Entrepreneurship, Management or a cognate social science discipline.  Experience of working in large industry-related collaborative projects is desirable but not necessary.  Additional experience and interests in the video games industry would also be valuable but is not a pre-requisite.

Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to contact Dr Ross Brown for an informal discussion about the nature of the position and their potential suitability for the role.  Direct all queries to Ross.Brown@st-andrews.ac.uk or telephone 01334 462202

The University is committed to equality for all, demonstrated through our working on diversity awards (ECU Athena SWAN/Race Charters; Carer Positive; LGBT Charter; and Stonewall).  More details can be found at http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/hr/edi/diversityawards/.
