Admissions Salary: £23,067 per annum, pro rata Start Date: As soon as possible Fixed Term: Until 31 July 2021

Applications are invited for the post of ‘Admissions Representative’ working across the range of activities run by the Access and Widening Participation Team, within Admissions. The post holder will work across all areas of schools liaison and widening participation activities, including Lifelong Learning and First Chances Fife.  The post holder will also be key in providing support for our digital recruitment strategy across Scotland during the coming academic year, creating content and collating data regarding Scottish schools and our current recruitment activities. 

As significant focus of the work will be placed on activities related to widening access, we are seeking an individual with an understanding and interest in widening access to higher education and a sensitivity to the issues that prospective students may face.    

A key responsibility will be to effectively represent the University, looking after the reputation and perception of the University of St Andrews, articulating what it is like to be a student at St Andrews. As such this post would be suitable for a recent graduate.

In 2020 the University will establish purpose built office accommodation at Eden Campus, Guardbridge by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 350 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge.  

This post will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge. 

Due to current COVID restrictions this post will be offered as remote working in the first instance, and the successful candidate will be supplied with the equipment required to facilitate this.  Applicants should be comfortable with digital platforms and online presenting.  Travel for this post may be limited until restrictions are lifted.
