Are you interested in how the brain produces behaviour? We are looking for a talented postdoctoral researcher to work on a 3-year project led by Dr Maarten Zwart at the School of Psychology and Neuroscience, University of St Andrews.

We use a wide range of tools including optical imaging, optogenetics, and molecular techniques to determine how neural circuits across the brain of the larval zebrafish integrate sensory information and convert this to the movements that make up behaviour. The BBSRC-funded project will focus on the encoding of sensorimotor errors in the olivocerebellar system, and will involve high-speed imaging neural activity using lightsheet and multiphoton microscopy.

Our growing team is part of a highly collaborative environment at the School of Psychology and Neuroscience and the Centre for Biophotonics. We are seeking candidates with PhDs in neuroscience or molecular biology, but are happy to consider those with backgrounds in physics or computer sciences.
