Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) in Classics – AO1767NB

School of Classics Salary: £34,304 - £40,927 per annum Start Date: 1 September 2022 Fixed Term: 18 months

We wish to appoint a fixed-term, Associate Lecturer (Education focused) within the School of Classics.  

 

The successful candidate will have particular expertise in areas of modern reception of antiquity (e.g. medicine, science, political thought, popular culture) which will extend our existing strengths; they will deliver high-quality teaching on our Undergraduate and Taught Masters programmes, possibly to include an Honours module of their own devising. They will play a leading role in the development of the School’s teaching provision in the reception of antiquity, and contribute to the design and delivery of the Classics Summer School, to run in July 2023.  

 

The post is fixed term for 18 months from September 1 2022; for a dynamic and engaging candidate, it will be an ideal springboard into a University level career.
