School of Classics Salary: £41,526 - £51,034 per annum Start Date: September 2021 Fixed Term: 4 Years

We are looking to appoint a temporary Lecturer in Ancient History within the School of Classics for a period of 4 years, commencing September 2021.  The successful candidate will be required to teach across the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Ancient History, Archaeology and Classical Studies. However, we would especially welcome applications from colleagues whose teaching strengths are in the area of the History and/or Archaeology of the Roman Republic.     

Candidates will hold a PhD in a relevant field and have teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.  The successful applicant will be expected to conduct excellent research in any area of ancient history or archaeology, and to contribute actively to the School’s research environment.
