Registry, Salary: £39,992 - £49,149 per annum, Start Date: As soon as possible

An opportunity has arisen to join the Academic Registry in the University of St Andrews to share responsibility for the management and operational service delivery of the Registry Student Journey.

Registry is a key central administrative Unit of the University supporting Schools, students, senior management and external stakeholders through admissions, the administration of student records, the co-ordination of international partnerships and study abroad, curriculum and timetabling records and the provision of associated reporting.  Members of staff are required to work flexibly and provide support across the Unit according to the priorities of the academic cycle. The Unit actively supports the University’s strategy of improving the effectiveness and integration of administrative processes and services with various projects and cross-unit functions. 

We are seeking an experienced, professional, highly motivated and organised colleague, with a commitment to excellent customer service.  You will have significant experience of working in higher education administration, with proven management skills as well as knowledge and understanding of the key issues affecting students across the HE sector especially in the areas of academic achievement and assessment.  You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to think quickly and the experience of conveying complex information to colleagues at all levels.  You will be a real team player with a track record of supporting colleagues by motivation, tact and enthusiasm while having a passion for delivering service improvement for all stakeholders.

You will work closely with colleagues in Admissions, Student Services, the Proctor’s Office, the Director of the Graduate School, members of the University’s senior management, Schools, Finance, and colleagues across Registry, to ensure that we provide a first-rate and joined-up service.

In 2018/19 the University will establish purpose built office accommodation at Guardbridge, by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 350 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge.
This post may be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge.
