School of Classics, Salary: £43,414 - £53,353 per annum, Start: September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter

We wish to appoint a Lecturer in Latin Literature within the School of Classics.  The successful candidate will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation in Classics, with the expertise to deliver high-quality teaching in Latin Literature and Classical Studies. We are open to appointing in any area of Latin literature and language, with a special interest in candidates who can consolidate or extend our areas of subject expertise. 

 

The successful candidate will be expected to have a wide range of interests, to be active in research publication and/or REF Impact, and to demonstrate an interest in promoting knowledge exchange. A commitment to research-led teaching and the ability to communicate with undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds are essential. Familiarity with grant-seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources is desirable.
