We are seeking a well organised, highly motivated individual to undertake the coordination of a range of key events and activities facilitating the successful cultivation and stewardship of donors.  The role involves managing a number of legacy, memorial, major and trust giving stewardship committees and programmes as well as coordination of the prestigious St Andrews Prize for the Environment.

Working within the Events and Stewardship team in the Development Unit, this role focuses on building on the successes of the 600th Anniversary campaign to continue to engage with donors and encourage new support beyond the end of the campaign. 

Applicants should have the drive, determination and ability to conscientiously and meticulously manage and coordinate a suitable programme of stewardship, relevant to donors and event attendees.  You will have excellent project management skills and the ability to find creative solutions to complex issues where they arise.

The right candidate will be educated to degree standard, have at least three years’ experience in an events or stewardship management role and possess excellent communication skills, be well organised, and inspired by their interaction with people.

An understanding of the importance of fundraising is required.

The post is to cover the maternity leave of a colleague and will start in February 2014 and is fixed term for up to 1 year.  The hours of work will be 21.75 hours per week to be arranged with the department.
