The School of English wishes to appoint an internationally distinguished scholar and teacher with interests in any area or areas of the literature of the English-speaking world. The school offers a research-intensive environment that nonetheless prides itself on the delivery of high-quality teaching, and was ranked 2nd in the Guardian and 3rd in the Good University Guide subject league tables for 2016.
The appointment would commence in September 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter.
