The test is designed so that a patient with a negative result in the test may forgo an invasive cystoscopy, which is current clinical practice. The work involved in this role is to develop the laboratory aspect of the clinical test and will involve the purification of cells from patient urine, automated biomarker labelling of the sample and automated quantification through image analysis. The role will involve initial optimisation of laboratory techniques such as cell plating, immuno-labelling and image analysis. You will be involved in the running and managing of the laboratory aspect of the clinical trial, with experience in working in a hospital and academic environment, adhering to strict GCP and GLP guidelines and who has skills in project and laboratory management. You must have experience in clinical laboratory techniques such as cell preparation, staining, immuno-labelling, microscopy, digital pathology and image analysis.  Also required will be experience in maintaining the resource of the lab, training other members of the team and regular reporting to both clinical, academic and industry partners.
