Details
The School of Medicine is seeking to appoint a Survey Methodologist for the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children: WHO Collaborative Cross-National Study (HBSC).  The successful candidate will improve the scientific quality and societal relevance of the data generated by the survey through the development of methodological sophistication and capacity of the HBSC network members.

Cross-national surveys are conducted on a four-year cycle.  Every survey involves decisions about its design and implementation, and each decision has the potential to affect the quality and validity of the data.  The challenge is to determine the optimal methods to produce the highest quality data.  We’re looking for a researcher to support the HBSC study with this challenge.  You should be educated to post graduate level and have demonstrable quantitative skills; have the ability/desire to support the HBSC international research network; and have up-to-date knowledge and specialist understanding of survey methodology.

The post is based at the HBSC International Coordinating Centre (ICC) in the Child and Adolescent Health Research Unit (CAHRU) and will report to Senior Statistician, Dorothy Currie.

This post could be considered as a secondment opportunity.

For additional information, please contact Dorothy Currie, Senior Survey Methodologist at dbc2@st-andrews.ac.uk or by phone at +44 1334 461 735.
