Title
Regius Professor of Mathematics - ME837R
Vacancy Description
School of Mathematics & Statistics, Start Date: As soon as possible
Details
The School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews is looking to appoint a Regius Professor of Mathematics. This prestigious chair was established in 1668, and the first holder was James Gregory. We are looking for candidates with an outstanding track record of research and academic achievement in any of the key areas of mathematical sciences. The ability to lead the strategic development of mathematical sciences in St Andrews, and to represent the School prominently within the UK and internationally are essential. We expect the appointment to expand our existing research portfolio in a significant way, with the possibility of forming a new research group, but synergies with the current expertise would be welcome. The School of Mathematics & Statistics prides itself on its inclusive and family-friendly work environment, actively striving to achieve diversity and equality of opportunity for all of its staff, students and visitors.

For further details and an informal discussion please contact Professor Nik Ruskuc, the Head of School, mathshead@st-andrews.ac.uk.
