School of History Salary: £34,304 - £40,927 per annum Start Date: 1 August 2022 Fixed term until 31 July 2024

We wish to appoint a fixed-term Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) within the School of History. The position will be held from 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2024. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation in British History between c.1500 and c.1700, and a commitment to delivering high quality teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests, to be active in research publication that strengthens or complements that of the School, and to be capable of teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds.   

 

Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential.  You should also have some familiarity with grant seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.   

 

In addition to the application form, candidates are asked to submit: a covering letter detailing how their previous experience qualifies them for the post; a CV including a list of publications; and the names of three referees.  

 

The application must not exceed a total of 10 pages of A4.
