The School of Management is seeking to appoint a PhD and Research Administrator to join its Professional Services team, providing comprehensive administrative support across a range of areas. The post holder will provide professional administrative support to the research community, including the PhD cohort. The role works closely with the Deputy Head of School for Research, Director of Research, Director of Postgraduate Research Programmes and School Manager. In addition, the post holder will undertake general office duties and provide organisational support to the team as well as academic colleagues.
We are looking for a candidate who has sound organisational, administrative and communication skills. You will be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills, a self-starter who is able to plan, organise and prioritise their workload in a busy and fast-paced environment. In fulfilling this role, you will be expected to proactively liaise and communicate effectively in writing and orally with a wide range of stakeholders, including enquirers, applicants, current students, academic staff as well as colleagues in other academic schools and administrative units.
Please note this post will be based in person in the Gateway Building in St Andrews. The starting date for the position is as soon as possible.
